It is that time of the year to wish everybody

MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR.

and thanks to all who gave help and advice during this year.

Frank S.

I used to love Christmas when i had my shop, i spent Christmas day counting all my money and laughing all the way to the bank.
Now i am fed up with the TV adverts the rubbish music on the radio, people spending money on things they cannot afford while there are people starving.
The only winners at Christmas are the rich.

Sold loads of stuff to people who think they will give something "real" for christmas......

Should I feel good about that ?

I find, as I get older, that Christmas means less to me each year. I always really enjoyed it when the kids were wee, but now all I see is crass commercialisation. I'm not a religious person, so even that side means little to me. I celebrate the solstice, because that marks the turning of winter, but that's about it.

What I will wish everyone though, is peace of mind, comfort, and the love of family & friends. And a much less miserable new year than it seems to have been for many.

The nice thing about 2nd childhood is that you start enjoying Christmas again. Love the trying to get something different for presents, the sense of excitement, the feeling of relaxing....all forgotten but recovered. Chill out, remember it is a season to celebrate love, peace and good will and go for it. Merry peaceful Christmas to all.

Pete
