If the a was wrong it woul be Esteem but the a should be ok

How did you get the "A" at the beginning??

Antler or anthem are the only two words that fit the letters. My money is on the a being wrong.

Today's Times crossword was rather fun.

I have repeatable for the top line that fitted everything but for that A so go on tell me what I should have had, don't like repetitive either.
Have not started the larger x word yet .

OK, got it, the wife went and got her crossword solver.

Repeatedly along the top gives me the E. for esteem.
