macrome tools

I have aquired a macrome smoothing plane in its original box which has macrome tools of alcester and wolverhampton has anyone any information on macrome tools.

I've lived in and around Alcester since 1976, but never heard of this firm before. The town specialized in the needle industry for many years and once this industry closed down, there were many small engineering firms that set up - only to disappear after a short while.
We still have quite a lot of small/medium industrial units who tend to be very specialized but I've never known of this one.

Ihave found that macrome tools came from hay mills birmingham but were bombed during the war and moved to alcester in nov 1940 in 1942 they moved to larger premises near leicester.
this could be aldersley near newark as aldersley is on the box
they then moved to wolverhampton in 1949 so it looks as if macrome road in wolverhampton is named after macrome tools and not the other way round
I would be grateful for any more information.

Well at last I have finally got some pics of the plane and box they are not brilliant but are better than nothing,the plane is all metal the handle and knob being black jappaned hope someone can give me more information on macrome tools.
