I was booked on a flight to Paris today and stayed glued to Sky checking if I could go. At the end of the day I tried to re book my online ticket but had to call - a long wait and offered a flight on Sunday night . Spent loads of time looking at this site while waiting for an answer .
Got to spend the weekend in the UK - well I will have to spend the time in the workshop.

Eurostar would have been more environmentally friendly, too. Was that affected as well?

Scrit I used to use Eurostar but got tired of all the delays although I got a number of single tickets for free. Tuesday is a holiday in France so I did not want to drive. No major DIY to do for my daughter only dig up the court yard.

I was also due to fly out of Heathrow. I just got on the phone straight away and changed to Sunday. I didn't know whether my flight would, or wouldn't be going but decided the number of people multiplied by the difficulty of getting there was such I'd rather not even try.

For a long time it was shown as delayed by 6 hours, but eventually late afternoon was officially "cancelled". I'm pleased with the decision I made earlier during the day, as I definately got a plane out of there Sunday, provided there is no major problems.

My Father was flying out to Egypt from Gatwick. Chaos apparantly. My first reaction was what bad luck to be flying out on that specific day. But I guess it was actually good luck that whatever was going on was prevented.

I think its about time that some people are stopped from purchasing tickets on public transport.

Not a racialist.

I don't know where you are going with that comment Devon, but you are on a road to nowhere. I'm locking this as it'll get messy.

Sorry folks.
