Looking for a supplier of quality birch through ply?

I've got a project coming up. I need a couple of sheets of birch throughout ply delivered, Scandinavian if poss. Best grade possible as it will be on show so I think that would be B/B, CPC or II, depending on origin. Local merchant wont deliver unless I buy large quantities.

Can anyone recommend a supplier local to leeds perhaps or a national who'll deliver? I know theres the likes of Jewsons etc, but not sure they will carry high grades?

AIUI most decent local timber suppliers can order a small quantity in on your behalf. Even the bigger firms that do birch ply will deliver to you but you will have to pay a delivery charge which could easily be something like £35 plus vat.

Like me, you are in Yorkshire, so I'd say Hanson's Plywood. They have a very wide selection - if they don't do it nobody will. I've had as little as 3 full sheets delivered from them.

Howarth's have places around Yorkshire, but won't have the same kind of selection.

18MM - BALTIC BIRCH PLYWOOD BB/BB , 1220X2440 -> £32 inc VAT
Delivery -> £13 inc VAT

Perhaps it's not the greatest grade?

It's about £20 underpriced. If it's genuine I would be very interested.

Incidentally, 1220 x 2240 usually means on the face veneers the grain runs across the 1220, often referred to as 'short grain'.

I'll probably buy in a couple of weeks time as got a cross cut sled to build. Hopefully should be at least good enough for shop jigs. But if anyone buys before then let me know lol.
