I splashed out £34.99 for a Parkside vacum wet and dry for the workshop today.

It's pretty flimsy but it has good suction.

Anyone had one for a while.? What do you think of it.?

I have the slightly larger version- I think mine was about £60. It has been going a few years- all good so far.

This Chinanwese? cleaner comes in many badge guises but all the same thing under different flags. Screwfix Titan, Cotech, Sealey, Conrad are a few and I expect there are plenty more. They're all around the same price and specification.

I bought one around 5 or 6 years ago. Don't know if it's the same one but mine is a largish Yellow/Black thing. Never used it wet. Powerful and still working perfectly well. It's used in the workshop and domestically on the very odd occasion.

I have the larger yellow black version which I have had for around 5 years now and it still works but the automatic power take off has stopped being automatic. :( i still use it but have to turn it on and off each time I use it with a power tool. Great suction!

Yep,
Had one for a few years, used and abused, great value.
Only problem is a broken clip that tips dumps the contents on the floor if you forget and pick it up by the handle (hammer)

Ditto: got one of the bigger ones last year. It's presently getting quite a hammering, as I'm chopping out for wiring and socket boxes. I am keeping it fed with proper bags though, as I want it to survive so I can use it with the power tool switch afterwards.

Very pleased so far.

I have what looks like a similar machine, mine's blue and branded Vacmaster. Still works OK after a number of years, not had a lot of use though. It's currently the upstairs vacuum cleaner, it used to be in my workshop but was replaced by the Draper when we got a new Vax for downstairs. I had a Draper before, it's more powerful and larger capacity so I prefer it for the workshop. The first one broke when I dropped it downstairs. The Vacmaster did it's job, mostly, the nozzle has to be closer to the dust than I'd like, using it on a router table means brushing the dust into the doghouse more often/brushing more dust into the doghouse. It was considerably cheaper than the Draper and IMO is worth it's price tag.

I've had one for a few years now and still working well. I did make a minor alteration though; I got an old pillowcase then folded it inside itself and seamed it - to make a double walled filter - then used some thick wire to make a retaining band.

It still works just as well, but now I don't have to keep taking off and cleaning the pleated filter all the time - I just take of the pillowcase and give it a good shake.

Of course a cyclone would do the same thing, but I use it so rarely it's no problem - plus it's much more portable this way.
