Hi all

Had to share this went to see Les Mis at the pictures last night, absolutely fantastic totaly engrossed from start to finish the first time i have seen a film where the whole audience applauded at the end and there was no mad rush for the exit, but had to take a few minutes to gain composure and come back to the real world.

I have seen the stage production which which i enjoyed immensely but i have to say the big screen takes the prize. The film is just under three hours long and for seventeen quid for my wife and i it is the best value evenings entertainment i have ever enjoyed.

I don't usually wax lyrical about anything but this film has to be seen to be believed, go on treat yourselves you won't regret it.

Thanks. I have heard other rave reviews like yours, we don't often got to the cinema these days but will be for this. I haven't been to the stage show but have the DVD with Alfie Boe which is magical.

For anyone who hasn't seen any of it and wonders what all the fuss is about have a look at this. He's singing about his daughter's boyfriend who is caught up in the the French revolution. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwNdYpHI9u4 But be quick others have been taken down because of copyright. There was a longer version of this showing a long standing ovation at the end but it too has disappeared.
Listen to the end for the shivers up your spine effect.

Another to check out is this of Alfie Boe singing Nessun Dorma in Matt Lucas' kitchen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZCGPR4U89o Incredible talent.

Looking forward to seeing the movie after seeing the stage production twice, but much prefer Colm Wilkinson and the 10th anniversary DVD/CD.
