Has anyone on here have or used a Legacy lathe and if they have what are they like for ornamental turning.?
At the moment I am using a Trend router lathe to do some hollow spiral candle sticks , bit of a fiddle to get good results.

Thanks Peter
I was hoping that someone had one , Can't afford a new one, will have a go at making one using cycle gears etc.

I had a Legacy Ornamental Mill but sold it about 8 years ago. It was interesting but difficult to make work correctly. Newer ones may be better.

If you're going to make something, look for a copy of Router Magic by Bill Hylton. There's a plan in that book for a jig with cycle gears and chain that might do the job.
