Are you sure that it is the pulley that is bent not the shaft?

If the pulley is bent then is should be easy enough to straighten it to the extent that the belt will stay on.

yer the pully when i put it on a flat surface the wheels not flat, sopose i could try a hammer (hammer)

I would try pressing it in a vice between two thick pieces of MDF.

Hammering is likely to do little more than cause local distortion where you hit it.

good luck

I'd second what 9fingers says. it's alloy and likely to shatter if you hit it

if it really is knackered you won't get a Kity replacement but could probably get one machined at a local engineering shop. No reason why it can't be steel instead of alloy as long as it's balanced.

Might be possible to get one off the shelf from a bearing/power transmission specialist. BeeLine bearings in Milton Keynes could get most sizes of pulley to order, and presumably there are other similar suppliers in most big towns.

thanks chaps, i used a hammer (hammer) and still bent but ran it up just now and works so will do for me :D
