I am posting this in the hope that another member can provide some advice. I have acquired a used Kity Bestcombi 3000 which was stored in three basic sections plus a box of other smaller parts. I have no instruction or assembly diagram. I have assembled the three main sections from images on the internet and wired up the motors which are all working, but there a a couple of things that I need help on. First one is there is metal device which looks like it be a magnet hanging on a short cable. It looks like it attaches to the end of the planer table but have no idea what it’s for or which way to mount it. There is aslo a small handle which looks like it’s meant to locate in it.

Second question is how does the aluminium extrusion that the sliding carraige runs on attach to the mounting brackets.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Bestcombi 2000 or 3000? don't think I have seen a 3000 but their is a 2000 in my workshop.

That thing is the safety interlock for the planer dust chute it fits underneath the infeed table.
The extrusion fits on adjustable mounting brackets, do you have those?
I can do some pictures is you need them.

Hi Pete - thanks for the reply. You are correct it is a Bestcombi 2000. I guessed it would fit there as the bolts have been refitted in the table but did not know to operate it. What does the handle do as it seems solid when you try to move the ‘pin’ in the switch. It doesn’t stop the planer from running even though it is not attached to anything.

As for the extrusion, there are green painted adjustable brackets which it sits on, but how is it fixed. What’s confusing me is there are two rectangular metal pieces which fit the groove on the underside as if it would slide on them but I thought that the extrusion would be fixed in place with the carraige running on it.

Some photos of your machine correctly assembled & with dust chute fitted would be really appreciated if you could.
