Not sure where to put this for max exposure and yet on topic but here goes.

I have to convert a small bedroom into a kitchen as part of converting a house into two flats. I'm thinking of using factory made carcases for speed with one or two bespoke ones where the standard sizes don't quite fit.
I don't want to spend more than I have to but want something of reasonable quality.
I hear Howdens mentioned but generally in the context of them not dealing with the public but I have formed a limited company so hope to be able to buy as trade.
Somewhere that has a design service might be helpful when it comes to cunning and effective use of space.
Any suggestions of companies to approach and better still ones to avoid?

TIA

Howdens are perfectly fine for carcasses and well priced to the trade as you suggest.
Theres no real dark art to kitchen design using bought in cupboards IMO, just familiarise yourself with the available sizes and it’s straight forward enough to work out what will fit. If you end up with odd gaps then depending on size it’s either scribed fillets to cover the space or wine racks etc to make use of it.
By all means try a free kitchen design service from Wickes etc but they don’t tend to be any better IME.
Any questions, feel free to give me a shout

Thanks Adam, Much appreciated. it is years since I did a kitchen and it was a largeish one so no great drivers for ultra efficient use of space.

It is a trade off to get something that a tenant will be not be put off by and not spending more than I have to but at the same time not wanting to have to replace it in a few years as everything is falling apart.
