Hi All.

I've accumulated some various odd chessmen while making chess sets & trying out designs.
I reckon rather than chucking them into the bin, I can polish them up and turn into keyrings, bottle openers, wine stoppers, etc.

In regard to keyrings, can somebody recommend a solid, high quality kit that I can fit through a 4mm-5mm max hole?
E.g. here's an axminster one, but I have a couple issues with it.

7mm shaft is too thick for wee pawns;
I'm not convinced these press fit (?) caps are secure enough. Would prefer a thread.

I couldn't find anything decent online, so thinking of making one - stick a 5mm threaded rod into it and screw on some sort of a cap that can get a keyring hooked up to it? Any ideas?

Bottle openers and stoppers are easier, as I can stick them into larger pieces.

Thank you.

Thank you - the prokraft ones look quite good, especially that I can fit a longer screw into them if required.
