Hi

Has anyone ever seen a compacting / tamping plate for a 28mm breaker like this in the UK?

Thanks,
Mark

Not seen one but I reckon you could get one knocked up for less using an old kango chisel!

They do exist - they're called tamping plates
any good tool shop should be able to get one if you know the spline or hex size on your machine

Perfect! I've been "googling" every term but tamping plate, so thanks for that!

No, but gut feel suggests that it would be pretty ineffectual. No mass. No inertia. No oomph.
I know it wouldn't be a substitute for a proper wacker plate; it would only be for the smaller jobs which I currently do by hand with one of these...
