Hi,
I have had one of these extractors for a day now, I bought it to connect to my P/T (Metabo HC260 C ). All I can say is it was easy to put together and it is doing a perfect job of extracting the chips from my P/T.

I should point out that this is the only chip extractor that I have ever owned of used so cannot comment on how it compares to more expensive models.

Cheers,
Chris

Hi Mock,
I have the Axi equivillent and as Chris says, It should be OK as a chip collector from a p/t but I the filter wouldn't be fine enough for dusty machines such as a band saw, sander or table saw.
Cheers,
John

That is a good point. I certainly would not want to use it for extracting fine dust, only the fairly course chips from my p/t.

Cheers,
Chris

Can you boy,s recommend me something for sawdust and wood shavings or would i have to use two extractors

You could look at a camvac (or similar) and a drop box. The drop box should take out all if the chips and hopefully most if the dust before it gets to the vac.

This is exactly what I am doing- need to get the ducting and fittings next. I looked at similar setups and went for a 2 motor model. I think that 1 motor will struggle. I also went for the smallest capacity because the drop box will fill up instead.

Probably. A lot more money than the camvac I have just bought which was £240 or so, a tenner for a drop box, few quid or fittings and connections. Biven machinery were the cheapest when I was buying.
