How to make the colour of wood UV resistant ?

I wish to colour some sycamore green , I also wish to see the grain of the wood through the colour and lastly I wish the colour to be UV resistant , in other words I wish the green stain on the wood to have the same vibrant colour in 100 years time and not to get bleached by the sun . (homer)

Look at complex metal dyes- eg transtint.

Then have fun getting some!

Spirit stain http://chestnutproducts.co.uk/results.php?cat=Stains will let the grain show with something like clear yacht varnish on top but like every other outdoor finish it will need a touch up every few years.
