Just came across this piece about an auction in America with this lathe in it, valued at around $80,000. The best and most complete in existence. An AMAZING lathe !!!!!

Thanks for that DM - I knew of the existence of these but it's nice to have access to all those bright, clear close-up photos to browse through. Very much the rich man's plaything, then and now.
