On the telephone to Sssssssssss yesterday and said whats your best deal for a new battery drill.

Hitatchi she said. £99.

2 times 1.5a 18volt Lion batteries.

Anyone know of a better deal and equipment?

I have one on the way hopefully be here today. I've always found Hitachi to be good. B&Q had the 18v Makita, Hitachi, Bosch and Dewalt all on sale at £100 but they seemed to have stopped the Hitachi so if you fancy another brand then there are options but I think the Hitachi from SF is the best deal.

I bought the Hitachi about 12 months ago when it was £89 - I can't fault it for the use I make of it. At the time there was a Makita for £99, (but it had NiCad's) on the adjacent shelf. I didn't realise how much better Li ions were, but there were still people buying the Makita. I noticed last week that there was a Bosch with Li ions on offer for £99, though.
