Hi all, I have a job tomorrow hanging an outward opening exterior door, it is a bespoke made double glazed hardwood stable door, q what hinge spacings should I use on each of the halves ?
Thanks,
Chris

I think the last one I did was 100mm down from top, centre ones 100mm away from join (or inline with rail) and the bottom one I cant remember! - closer to the bottom than normal certainly

You might want to go even closer to the door edges -the door halves need to be well supported on the hinges. Normal spacings look really wrong.

If the upper door half has a sash lock I try and set that high enough to allow a 4 inch shoot bolt below the handle
