As per the title really - hi!
I have never used this forum before - I am more familiar with another UK based forum specialising in welding and metalwork, where I have posted numerous restoration projects of metalwork machinery and tools, however my most recent project isn't really hitting the mark so well there so I've come here!
I'm a British expat living in NZ and my workshop is my little slice of home, filled with almost exclusively British tools and machines (I make exception for Crescent Tools pliers!). I have scoured the nation for bits and pieces trying to build a top-quality workshop on a budget and I am (very slowly) getting there. I'm currently a student trying to finish my degree, and after this I hope to become an apprentice joiner.
My most recent acquisition is a Harrison Graduate lathe. I have a very pretty Harrison Jubilee grinder which I bought as a paint smothered wreck. I am converting it to run at slow speed in a water bath to sharpen chisels. I also have a Fobco Star and a Colchester Bantam (in bits), plus all sorts of other toys if you would be interested in seeing? I have posted these restorations elsewhere in in-depth detail but I could do some before/after posts if anyone is interested.
Thanks for taking the time to read
