Yes the fuse probably has blown.

did that a couple of times with mine until I finally learnt to keep the cable from dropping near the cutters. doh.

I keep the cable over my shoulder so it's always behind me

same done to ours - used an inline screwfix plug/socket , to repair - BUT Now we have a battery adjustable length hedge trimmer - much much easier
