Only watched about 2/3 of the vid, and to be fair, his technique isn't that bad plus he does mention quite a lot of safety items. A real Alaskan mill has the same hazards, the only difference being that they usually have a second handle and are properly guarded on the end of the bar. But not wearing proper PPE is crazy - his lungs may be OK, but several times he got perilously close to the saw with unguarded legs and it's not clear if his shoes are more than just ordinary brogues.
Pretty ingenious version of a mill, though.
 
That was my thinking, no PPE. At one point he was crouching to gauge the line, a kick back at that time would literally have his head off, no real need to Kevlar chaps I suppose.
