I saw a dude on his bike today with a 'fro that was enormous - and I mean like comedy enormous - I had to laugh.

I'm sure I read somewhere that they're brothers - but don't quote me on that.

Those 'Periodic Table of Videos' started as an amateur project, which explains the lack of professional polish, and I think their popularity rather surprised the people making them. I rather enjoy them - they're a fun way of presenting some quite serious science. The quality of the content makes the lack of presentational glitz immaterial, for me.
 
I don't like glitz either.

I like cutaways, close-ups in focus and tidy editing. They don't cost money to get right.

And they ARE getting paid, by taxpayers and the students at Nottingham.

I do appreciate the sentiment, and I know Nottingham's Chemistry dept. is first rate, but "could do better" on that one.

If brothers, I like the brother's writing enormously. They seem to be a really interesting family.
