A good job maybe the next one you will try an even wall thickness and hove holes in it

That would have been the plan had my nerve held out for longer. If it wasn't a twisty rootball, I may have gone thinner but not being able to read any real grain, I wasn't sure if would stay in one piece.

Wrap it in industrial cling film that should hold it while turning
