Fair to say "that's no moon", but it is gorgeous nonetheless.

I've had an apple burr for a couple of years now lying under my pool table, terrified I'll mess it up when the time comes.

That would have been the plan had my nerve held out for longer. If it wasn't a twisty rootball, I may have gone thinner but not being able to read any real grain, I wasn't sure if would stay in one piece.

Wrap it in industrial cling film that should hold it while turning
