friend wants a couple of floating shelves for a bedroom.

they are to be on the non load bearing wall of a 30's terrace, between two bedrooms. not to happy with the strength of the wall, so looking for another way to mount the shelves.

seem to remember seeing something about a new epoxy type resin that holds the dowel/bolt and then you place the supporting beam over this.

would prefer this if someone can show me where and how, since i am not happy about shortish screws in to plugs.

shelves will be max 300 wide, and 900 long, with a kind of swoopy shape,
thickness about 50mm not to heavy a load, but since they are inside a door passageway need to be pretty strong. and no can't buy something like friend wants.

didn't jason have a clue about this :?

Fifth one down is Worktop Joint Sealant 100ml

Hi Tiler

Yes you are right

I missed that one and it is the one under that :)

Paul

I am fine and I am sure that Toolstation is the cheapest and they are a clearance :D

I think I will have to order some myself :)

Paul see my post at the end of this thread.

The screwfix epoxy will be fine, buy the 150mls cartridges as they fit a standard mastic gun SF No 25733 0r 16180. Use studding or ant steel bar you have laying about.
