fitting new v belt to Startrite SD310

My old v belt has just broken and I cant work out how the new one goes over the pullies . The new belt
is the same length as the old but seems to small, can anyone help >

If I remember correctly the Startrite planers have some kind of spring loaded belt tensioner which has probably gone to it's maximum since the old belt has broken, You should be able to take up the slack in the tensioner by prying on the motor mount and packing out the space with some wood or something and then put your belt on.

I could be completely wrong though.
