Fitting L&B gate directly to brick wall

I am planning to construct a ledge and braced gate to fit into a 1 metre wide arched opening.
I need to maximise the opening width so was wondering if suitable hinges could be fitted directly to
the brick work, avoiding the use of a frame.
Any suggestions very welcome.

Yes, use coach bolts with gate hinges
