finish for new oak bench

i have just made an oak bench for my workshop to hold my lathe and a scroll saw what finish do you think i should use some form of oil like Danish oil or something else?

If it's indoors and just the top of a bench on which you are standing machines then whatever oils you may have on the shelf, Danish, Tung, Teak etc. etc. will all work fine.
