Finish for MDF workbench?

Hello!

Looking to put something on my workbench to make it more resistant to scratches / marks / more durable

I have sealed with with chestnut shellac sanding sealer so that the mdf wont just drink up the top coat i use

Any reccomendations? Perhaps wax it?, but unsure what to use.
