fine white mould on bark

I bought some small pieces of wood with their bark on from a sawmill recently. They're for an indoor piece of sculpture - I want to use them as they are, not carved or varnished, just with rough edges sanded off & nothing else done to them. I was told it had been seasoned, but I've noticed in a couple of places there's a fine white mould (fungus?) growing...
Is there anything I can treat it?
