Anyone with experience using glue laminated fence posts?
Last year my neighbour spent his summer working a very nice fence and deck with built in raised area for seating etc. He used Siberian Larch bought from a reputable timber retailer, the 10cm x 10cm posts they supplied were made from 2cm thick strips of larch laminated together.
This summer these posts have all started to delaminate, so the whole thing is probably going to deteriorate pretty quickly. The wood was listed as 'for fencing' so he isn't using it outside of his intended application.
He spent a small fortune on this wood and a hell of a lot of time and effort so feel pretty bad for the guy. What do you recommend? Is there any comback on this? What would you do in his situation?
