Not general woodworking, but related! I thought that it would be better than in metalwork, even though it is.

Does anybody have a reliable contact for having some small (one off) pieces of silver engraved. I need a couple of one design, prob 20mm diameter (markers for salt and pepper grinders, as a wedding gift) and one of a second design about 30mm square (for a jewelry box). On the second, time will be short- I can order now and will need it in 2-3 weeks.

Thanks
Mark

Hello Mark. I've always used a local jewellery maker for bits and bobs of silver work such as escutcheons or engraved plaques. There's plenty of them around and it's useful to have a local contact that you can discuss the job with face to face.

Good luck, sounds a smashing project!
