ELM TREES for the taking!

well a quick post to anyone near west LONDON / HILLINGDON AREA
the school where I am temporally working is removing a stack load of
ELM trees,So if any ! here wants to get some FREE green timber let ME KNOW here,
There is a fair amount of trees to be pulled out so but react QUICKLEY so I can organise access.

I live in Ruislip, so would be in prime position, but lack any form of resawing machinery (my shop is a very small shed) and the MG is not exactly suited to carrying treetrunks!

lol oh well :roll: I suppose if you came early next week I could chop em up into smaller lumps of timber - small enough to go in a car boot :wink:

You'd be lucky to get more than a box od matches in the boot of an MG!

I live in Ealing. What dia are the trunks? Could the lengths be approx 8' - Approx max for Volvo estate?

there are some 8" a couple 10" trnks so if your interested 6 - 8 ' trunks couold be cut up- location HILLINGDON LONDON

Sorry HS I won't be able to take any. I got a bit carried away but SWMBO has pointed out that we really haven 't got the room to keep a load of elm in stick and besides which we're still in middle of doing up house so it's already full of junk & other stuff that might be useful.
