Elm floating floor

Evening all,
A friend has asked me to relay a solid elm floor that was laid by a supposed flooring specialist after the removal of a flood damaged carpet.
The sub floor is T&G caber floor,and im not sure if underlay has been used but the floor has been nailed every 3rd board which means there are sections moving around as you walk on it,what is the best way to relay this floor so its stable but still floating ?

Is the flooring t&g ?

I think it is T&G,but im not 100% sure as ive not able to have a detailed look at it,there is about 25 sq/m to lift,de-nail and relay it all! im not even sure if the guy used an underlay or went straight onto the caberfloor.

I feel a voyage of discovery coming!

If the floorboards are broad enough (120mm min) and have a T&G, there should be no problem with a floating installation.
