ebay gremlin.

Any computer experts out there? Whenever I go to ebay, a few seconds later, music starts playing. It appears to be always the same tune and doesn’t seem to be linked to any of the adverts which appear at the right side of the screen. The volume is always very loud, much louder that I set it when listening to anything else online.
Any ideas?

try installing an addon for your browser, like ad block plus and/or ublock origin

If you have ebay in your favourites (so you click the same link each time) delete it. Go to google, search ebay, load the screen and save the new address to favourites.

Same thing happened to me. There is a mute button on the tab: it's working for me!

How much do you want for your Ebay gremlin? You haven't mentioned a price... :lol:

Problem solved. I spoke to our company IT support man and he was surprised to find that I was still using the old Google search engine and not Chrome. He suggested that Chrome is much more secure, so I switched and the gremlin disappeared. I miss him so much. :wink:
