DVD Storage

I'm under pressure to get rid of our DVD collection and possibly use some form of server.

I know for legal/copyright reasons I will have to hang onto them somewhere - the loft?

Can anyone recommend some "easy to use" software please? One that doesn't require a lot of manipulation - with a lot to copy I'd like one that will run by itself?

I doubt any perfect software exists, what will work for one type won't work with another.

When I moved back from Scotland I just binned all the boxes.

I now have a small flight case, just had a quick look and you can get an 800 capacity one for £30.

Or you can get dedicated media servers that RIP and store a lot quicker but you are up into the thousands of pounds for the pleasure.
