Ducting help and advice

I am sure this has been asked before, many times, but i couldn't find what i needed.

So i am thinking of moving my dust / chip collector into the roof of my garage/workshop. I have been advised to run 6" hose across the ceiling and the 4" to the machines.....Is this the best approach? If so, where is the cheapest place to by ducting? Axminster seems very expensive for this.

Try lindab, they have a branch in cardiff. Spiral ducting (at trade prices) is pennies. Go haggle!

Cant help with prices, but how about access for cleaning?
Sounds a bit precarious.

If you run 4in all the way you will lose suction, by starting with 6in then going to 4in to the machines you will keep the suction and volume air flow high which you want.
The dusts pares place looks good, go for a look myself.
