I recently purchased a Dewalt DW745 table saw and have been shopping around for blades suitable for crosscutting and plywood.

I have noticed many blades are sold as being suitable for particular types of saw (handheld circular saw, mitre saw, etc.)

Is there any real difference between saw blades sold for different types of saw?

As long as I use blades with the correct diameter, bore and suitable RPM for the saw, they should be safe to use and work well?

(In my case that would be 250x30mm and greater than 3800 RPM).

This may seem like a stupid question but I want to make sure...

It's not quite as simple as that.
On a crosscut saw, for example, the blades usually have a negative rake to reduce grab.
Talk to Doug Perry at Cutting Solutions. He will sell you the right blade for the job, good quality at a fair price.

When I bought the saw in haste I went ahead and bought this blade: Freud LP40M 025

(I'd post the link but I don't have permission)

Would this be OK to use on this table saw?

That will be OK in a table saw for cross cutting and ply, but not that good for ripping along the grain
