Hi all, hope you all had a good holiday season.

Has anyone noticed the rash of DeWalt cordless tools on eBay?
They all come minus batteries and case and chargers, although you can also buy these items separately.
However the sum of the parts seems usually to be greater than the whole.
Is this just a marketing gimmick?
Also as usual the postage varies widely and in some cases is extortionate.

Regards
Martin

Hi Martin

This was discussed on another forum recently and the conclusion drawn, rightly or wrongly, was that a lot of these were being sourced from the employee's factory shop.

Cheers

I was looking on eBay yesterday and was surprised to see how many DeWalt tools where going for what seemed to be very good prices. I was not just looking at items currently being sold but ones where the auction had finished, and some of these where new boxed tools going for about 50% of the RRP. (about 25% off the best prices)

If an offer looks to good to be true it usually is. I was wondering if these where unofficial imports and that there would be warranty issues.
