Making a face frame plus cupboard doors out of elm for a small cupboard area upstairs.

The cupboard is 2200mm tall and about 380mm wide.

The problem is that my available elm that is 2200 long has a big bend in it towards one end and if I plane it down to eliminate the bend then there won't be enough thickness left for the two frame stiles. So it seems to me that I have two possible solutions (unless anyone can think of any more).

1) Cut the two outside stiles into two pieces to 'accomodate' the bend. But then you will see the cut/join unless the join can be 'designed' in as a feature. Only I can't see how.

2) Do (1) but then veneer a length of elm down the face.

The door positions are not cast in stone BTW

Any suggestions very welcome. TIA
