I'll probably wait for the catalogue before deciding. I'm assuming the normal stalls will be there as usual?

Thought I would give this a bump as the date draws closer.
Thanks for posting the catalogue mr P.

I'll noit be there this time - I seem to have a knack of getting other commitments to clash with their dates - but to anyone else wondering if they should go along, DO.

You get to see several tons of tools, in one place. Picking them up and having a good look will teach you more in one day than a year of looking at photos on here or on eBay.

You can bid, and sometimes get a bargain.

But there are also a roomful of really good, knowledgeable and informative old tool dealers with stalls so you can see what's what and pay a fair price without the risk of bidding in the auction.

Also, Bill Carter is usually there, ready to talk about planes, his own and any others.

Plus you can meet fellow forum members such as Lurker and Andy!

I am on holiday at the moment.. Canaries nice and warm here :D
Trying to decide if I will have another day off work to go.
It's been a while even though it's virtually " on my doorstep"

I don't need more tools
But it's a nice day out to see old faces

I'll be going tomorrow. Anyone want to meet up for a cup of tea before the auction starts?

Just got back and have to report the sale has a lot of "user" tools ranging from good-bad-ugly =P~
In fact enough stuff to set up a fair few handtool workshops and resale outlets

As always there are the dealer tables attending with prices to suit all purses including some (£13.50) new small Kennedy G cramps at £2 each which unfortunately I didn't need  One of them is a carboot seller normally with prices to match :ho2

The TATHS crew also have a table 8)

Cheers
Andy

I will need someone to point out Bill Carter to me! Is it the normal practice for UKW members to meet up these events? I for one would be pleased to have a cup of tea with some of the crew on here.

It was really nice to meet Andy, Richard and Tim yesterday. I plan to go again in March if I get another day pass from SWMBO. It would be great to arrange a proper UKW meet up next time.

Yes, was nice to meet up with you Memsey and I think a good time was had by all 8)

Was not intending buying anything but a few bits came my way #-o
How old is a Joubert Tiersot scroll saw by the way?

As mentioned a forum get together would be interesting for a future sale

That treadle scroll saw was amazing. Almost as amazing as the fact that you didn't buy it! Funny how you didn't want to get anything but still did. I intended to buy a few bits but came home with some others instead. I guess that's just the way it goes.
