CWL 1000 Lathe

Hi group,
This is my first post here. (Please be kind :wink: )

I was given a Clarke CWL 1000 lathe and have noticed it has a tailstock that can't be changed, or can it?

Does antone know a way to upgrade the tailstock on this machine to a 1MT or 2MT, can it be done?

Yours thoughts would be appreciated.

LOL, yes I have read that it is not the best out there, in fairness I have used this lathe for pen turning and other small projects and have produced good results, it is just very limited!

Oh well, persevere untill I can get my own.

Now that's a nice fix. I thought of doing something similar but don't have access to a metal lathe.

Still turning on my useless lathe, still haven't had any problems with it.
