I never cease to be amazed how good some of these little 3 wheel bandsaws are. Mine is a Sealy I bought second hand for £50 (other makes may vary) and for the price of a 3tpi blade which is around £14 it's capable of cutting all the wood I need for my scroll saw projects.

I agree, I have an Axminster, hobbies band saw and it’s amazing what it will cut if you don’t try and force feed the wood into it.

I purchase a lot of my wood, as off cuts from a timber yard that supplies timber to the boat building industry, so as you can imagine it comes in large/thick pieces.

Just had a delivery from them on Thursday last, contained several lengths of Utile. :D

Take care.
