Right, here's a puzzler.

I need a clock insert to fit a 55mm hole, but it MUSt have a 65mm bezel.

I can get 55 hole / 60 bezel
I can get 60 hole / 65 bezel

But can I bloody find one 55 hole / 65 bezel?

Tried all the usual suspects, plus some 'Johnny Foreigner' sites.

Any clues?

To add, it's not to fit in wood, so I can't adapt the hole. it's a Portmeirion clock (emailed them, no joy).

I don't bloomin' believe it, I looked at that site.

Think I must've had clock-blindness.

Just under £30 with the postage. I think she got the clock from a boot sale but I'll let her know... thanks.

is it definitely a 55mm hole? it isnt a 60mm hole with a rubber ring stuck in it from the old insert is it?

(I am sure you have checked, but it is worth asking the question all the same)

Checked it with digital calipers. Must be some weird sized sourced from the far East by Portmeirion, I reckon.

Might try drilling out the porcelain with a 60mm Forstner bit later........ JOKING :-D

A quick check on eBay shows working s/h Portmeirion clocks going for £5-£15 + postage.
