I had the B&Q Christmas catalogue put through the letterbox a week or so ago. I don't need anything from them at the moment but thought I would browse through it.

I could understand there promoting artificial Christmas trees, lights etc. as well as cheapo Bosch green power tools as presents. Their Christmas essentials list included lightbulbs, batteries and paint; I can see batteries being useful for electronic toys but not paint being essential. However, the prize for a Christmas essential must go to the Cooke & Lewis toilet seat that was being advertised; mind you it's only available at larger stores and you need to check availability before you rush out to buy one.

Perhaps B&Q are thinking of your health, rather than gripping an old manky toilet seat covered in germs whilst hurling down the pan after the Xmas party, fit a new Cooke & Lewis seat & stay germ free for Xmas day.

Buy the Mrs a new bog seat for Christmas
I can guarantee she will be so overwhelmed she will remind you about it for years to come :D

What's so special about the seat? Has it got a built in bidet

The thing across here is when the brats, sorry children, go back to school after their brief 2 month summer holls they have similar types of promotions. Just what they need on returning to school, like a fridge or a washing machine!!
