Christmas baubles

Just turned out a couple of these as gifts. Photo doesn't do it justice really, as it is really tactile. Banksia nut and boxwood.

I have a banksia nut in my draw but never turned one are they as messy as people say they are !

It's about 4 inches long. I get two from a reasonable size nut, uniformly round. It can be messy, some have more 'fur' than others. Worth a go though, they take a good shine because they are very hard.
