Hi guys I'm a new member to this site and would just like to say hi to everyone.
I do also have a question re a Chambon SAS / Guilliet Coupe P 3.2m Sliding Table Saw.
Does anyone have an opinion or possible review on this machine. We are also looking at a Robland E300 which is similar in size.
We need the machine to cut 8 x 4 boards and just looking for reviews and advice re both machines.
Thank you in advance
R

Guilliet has a reputation for making solid machines and there is a UK dealer, Guilliet are not that common in the uk.

Robland panel saws are ok, Ive had one for 15 years, but mostly used in joinery rather than precision cabinetmaking. The outrigger fence does tend to go out of square as the connection to the sliding table is not the best, however this can be sorted out with a bit of engineering. The robland will take a 450mm blade with the scribing saw removed.

If you are using the machine for high end cabinetmaking you might be better off with an alterndorf.

I took a close look at a Cambon spindle moulder once but didn't buy it.
The overall design build quality seemed very good but it was significantly lighter built and less powerful than the SCM l'Invincibile T160 spindle moulder I bought from the same place.
If that is anything to go by I expect Chambon table saws to be one step up from Robland yet lighter built than saws from Panhans or Steton or SCM l'Invincibile. That is just my guess.
