Like Philly, I think ( dont all laugh at once ) you are to hard on your self as it is a fabulous chair and may you have many happy years in it :)

Well thank you for the kind words, folks. Although I am conscious of the things I wish I'd done better, I'm also sneekingly rather pleased too. At one point it really felt touch and go as to whether it'd ever get finished - TPTBs have forbidden me from doing anything I've never made before as a birthday present ever again, which should give you a clue as to how calm I was about it all... :lol:

really nice alf, maybe next time you should consider making
the comb with a contrast piece in it.

being more picky than my postings so far should allow,
i wonder whether the comb would look even better when
it is slightly longer and shaped at the ends. :oops:

but it looks a lot like an old one i lost,
can i have it back please :lol: :lol: :lol:
