Afternoon all,

I'm currently calculating some founds for a dwarf wall. I've just calculated the following, does it sound about right?

4 meters long, 60mm wide, 300 deep.
10x 25kg bags of cement
432kg sand
864kg aggregate

Didn't expect there to be quite as much cement involved.

Assuming 4:2:1 mix you are right - maybe 9 bags of cement if you want to be precise.

I make that almost three quarters of a cube, which is about 1.5 tons of mixed ballast and 9 cement.

you might want to make your trench a bit wider, I'd struggle to dig a trench 60mm wide and 300 deep (hammer)
Your calcs are about right for a 600mm wide trench but as skipdiver mentioned use 1 & 1/2 tons of ballast.
