You asked to see the drawing I did for the shob cabinet I built from scraps. Here it is minus back panels, shelves and doors. Actually the real thing still doesn't have doors. :roll:
All of the frame parts are milled from either 4x2 or 6x2 construction lumber. The cabinet top and work surface are 3/4" oak veneered MDF. (I got the sheet of it for free because it was damaged) The shelves and slide out tray are made from left over plywood. The shelves are actually made from the plywood crate a flat of Baltic Birch plywood was shipped in. I got it free because I asked about it when I bought the plywood. I stiffened the shelves with more scraps
I assumed the 2x lumber as free because it was left over from other projects. I bought two sheets of the cheapest 1/4" ply I could get which set me back about $14.
