I'm looking at some timber and under the description of some boards it says lace.

Anyone know what that could mean?

Thanks

Lacewood is generally London Plane I believe, cut (quarter sawn ?) to reveal the lace type visual effect of the grain.

Not sure if that is what you are seeing though ?

Cheers, Paul

That's the only definition I can find looking around. Guess that what it mean, yes I am looking at quarters awn wood.
